Called 4 Jesus

Wanting people to get close to Jesus

  • War Mongering

    2 Timothy 3:1

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

My friend gave me a handmade cross that was made by his wife when he was deployed to the Middle East.

He gave me the cross to thank me for helping him and his family. It is a precious gift to me. Just a length of paracord, hand woven. A 10 cent cross, taken to the battlefield. I imagine my friend grasping it as bullets landed nearby. I imagine him coming home, thankful that his wife made it. Then the smiles on my friends face as he handed it to me. I rarely take it off. A 10 cent cross… It means a lot to me. Good friends are priceless.

  • 2 mighty mites

    Luke 21:1-4; NKJ

    1. And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites.[a] 3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings [b]for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.”

Note: 2 mites equal 1/64 of a days wage, in the time of Jesus.

If a person has traveled to a 3rd world country. They would see the extreme poverty. Then setting foot into the USA, you will exclaim, how blessed I am!

So, what else happens to you?

    Luke 6:45 NIV

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

I would like to share a life experience. I grew up with an alcoholic mom and a dad with PTSD. The house was full of anger, verbal and physical abuse.

By the time I was placed in foster care, the damage was done. I was an angry kid, wanting revenge on society for being alive.

Obviously, the example of a bad life made my heart evil.
Today I write, to show a Godly character can provide solace in times of need.

  • Mustard seed (p2)

    Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    Jesus has our future.

  • Final curtain call

    2 Corinthians 5:8-10. NIV

8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Lately, I’ve been talking to people who want to kill themselves. Death is awaiting all. Yet a Christian who dies has promises from God. Suicide has no promises. I’m sorry to say.

  • mustard seed theory p.1

    Matthew 17:20

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

one night a man had a dream. He was in a great cavern. On the opposite end of the cave where he stood, was a pool of molten gold. There was a revolving chain that led into the pool of gold to the ceiling. The chain lifted out golden people. The conveyor system was very very slow. A worker showed up and stood next to the man. The man asked, “how can we speed up the process of the golden people?”. In which the worker replied, this is impossible, because if you speed up the process, the golden people will not be complete. They will be missing an arm or a leg.

  • Christs passion is on us

    John 19: 38-41 NIV

38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.[e] 40 Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs. 41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid.

  • Beauty or beastly

    Esther 2:12. NIV

12 Before a young woman’s turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics.

Last blog I shared that Jesus can help us out of our dilemmas. If we let Him.

  • Rain falls on everyone

    Luke 4:18. NIV

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
        because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
    to set the oppressed free.

The most frequently asked question I hear is, why did God allow such a terrible thing to befall me. Or my family member.

  • open door policy

Hello family. I greet you in the name of Jesus.

    Revelation 3:20. NIV

20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

it’s interesting how God deserved things. Last week I had prepared the first blog topic. Yet for some reason it didn’t feel right. I asked the Lord for if my first blog was pleasing to Him.
