In a jungle clearing, is a family of four. They are digging trenches. Around them, soldiers. Watching intently.
“Hurry up! You can rest after we kill you.”
Sporadic laughter from the soldiers.
You see, it is illegal to be Christians in this part of the country.
“It makes my soldiers weak,” said one rebel General.
“I want killers, not lovers.,” said another.
So the order was put out, kill all Christians!
As the men laughed, the son dashed off into the jungle.
The soldiers were starting to give chase, when the Dad interjected.
Sirs, my son is close by watching. I will get him back.
The soldiers looked confused at first, but let the Dad talk.
“Son, what are you doing? Run for a week, maybe 2? They will catch you and still kill you. Come die with your family, die for Christ!”
The boy slowly made his way back to the trench.
Yes, the soldiers killed the family in that jungle clearing.
Here’s my question to you? How was this story able to get out of the jungle, if all the Christians were killed?
Philippians 1:21 “To live is Christ, to die is gain.”
The message of the martyred family was clear.
At least one of the soldiers found Christ that day.
