It is surprising how God can use you. Your desire to please God is translated as the openness and God will bring needy people to you. Obedience results in special blessings.
John 3:3; Jesus answered and said unto him, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
Acts 1:8; “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Story:
One day an uber driver picked up a passenger. It seemed all was normal. The man was playing a sermon on “David and Bathsheba.” The woman started crying.
“Lord, what do I say to her?” THat was the question. “Nothing was the reply.”
The radio continued with the sermon. The final destination, a doctor’s office.
She slowly, got out and said, “God bless you.” “God bless you back and i hope you feel better.”
A strange peace came over the driver. “ I wonder if she felt it too?” The man thought.
What needs to be said when God is involved? Sometimes nothing. Usually little. Allow the Holy Spirit to work. Pray first. Talk second.
Story:
A driver picked up a passenger from the train station. Again the radio playing a sermon. Young man, “Are you a Christian? I like religious people. They are peaceful.”
Driver, “Yes I am. How about you?”
Passenger: “No, I’m more into philosophy. Like Nietzsche. I like stoic philosophy.
Driver: “ Frederick Nietzsche, 19th century, philosopher. I read a lot of his books.
Funny thing about philosophy, its like 2 ships anchoring together. Will they move?
Passenger: “No.”
Driver: “Imagine a great storm. High waves and winds. You’re telling me neither ship will move positions?
Passenger: “I dont know.”
Driver: “They will move. Same as anchoring your teaching on man. Problems arise in your life, and you’ll struggle to stay in one place. Anchored ships on a dock will not move positions.
Its the same with anchoring your life with Jesus. You will find peace in the storms of life.”
Passenger: “I’m actually trying to find myself.”
Driver: “Here’s something to read. I pray that you find what you need.”
Opportunities from God open daily. You can’t force yourself into the position. Let God take control and allow things to fall into place naturally.
God bless.
