In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent me. night is coming, when no one can work.
We disciples of Christ push forward to give glory to God. Sometimes we feel that our plans fail due to our lack of character. A common misconception we go through.
God asks us to try. Plant a seed and allow God to do the rest.
Story:
It was the late 19th century when a newly graduated couple enlisted on a mission journey to China.
The young couple were excited and full of ambition for God. They set sail to China with high hopes.
The ship docked in Europe, and the wife caught smallpox. The wife died in Europe, in the port.
The husband was distraught, but continued his journey to China. Determined to fulfill the dream God gave to the couple.
He made it to China, then transferred to a riverboat. He was sailing up the Yangtze river.
The Boxer rebellion was in full swing. The Boxers were Chinese rebels fighting to kick out the foreigners from their country.
The Boxers boarded the riverboat and killed everybody. Yes, even the young missionary.
Years later, a restaurant opened up in the local area where the missionary was killed. People from miles around came to eat, but especially to read the encouraging messages on the walls.
What made this restaurant different? The Bible brought by the missionary, written in Chinese, was picked up by a Boxer. The rebel read it and the words touched him. He was so impressed by the words, he wanted everyone to read it.
Not one sermon preached, not one conversion, only one couple who wanted to bring the gospel. Yet, God fulfilled the dreams.
We try, sometimes we feel we fail God. Yet God uses the attempt of a pure heart to bring glory to Himself.
Matthew 5:8: Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
