Esther 2:12. NIV
12 Before a young woman’s turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics.
Last blog I shared that Jesus can help us out of our dilemmas. If we let Him.
Psalms 46:1. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Pastor Rodney Hall was speaking on the book of Esther (Allegiant Ministries). How the life of Esther paralleled that of Christ.
The Holy Spirit gave me some insight
The ritualistic purification of King Xerxes, is similar to a Christian life on earth.
Six months of oil and myrrh. Oil being anointed by the holy spirit. Six months of myrrh, represents suffering.
Seriously, how can Christians really learn without suffering? I can hear Pastor Rodney saying, “easy, through obedience.”
Then six months of perfumes, prayer. Six months of cosmetics, the changed life.
Note: these chosen brides in Esther (brides of Christ, we are called), were also given special food, the bible. Given attendants, the holy spirit (see Esther 2:9)
The whole process takes 12 months. 12 represents perfection and entirety. Meaning it takes a lifetime to get thru our transformation.
Then we are ready to see the King. It doesn’t necessarily mean death. As some suppose.
Mathew 5:8, “blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.”
To “see” means to understand. I want to expand on this meaning, but I believe you get it.
As God’s people, we learn to live and reflect on failures.
It is increasingly difficult to live like Christ, with sin so easily accessible.
I strongly desire to fill my mission in Christ. So I can go home
As My good friend Evann used to say, “I’m ready to go.” He reached many people for Jesus. Then passed suddenly.
You see there is no fear in death, to those who know Christ. Yet we live, to teach and reach others.
We Christians who fail, get up and shine with a purpose in life
Beauties to the King of Kings. Beastly in our determination to press forward.
Join Jesus, you will not regret it.
God bless
